Crantock is a small village with a long history and is about 4 miles from Newquay. The village has two Inns, a Tea Garden, a Village Store/Newsagent and pretty gift shops all approximately 50 yards from Monks Cottage which is tucked privately away at the end of a small slate paved pathway.

The cottage still retains many of its original features and is beautifully furnished to a very high standard.

The Living Room has a multi fuel burner, which adds to the cottages charm, as well as an open beamed ceiling and deep window seats. There is a wide screen television which sits discretely in the corner of the room, DVD player and video. For the children there are two games consoles and games, videos and books all available for guests to use.

There is a separate Dining area off the main Living Room which has a mahogany dining table and chairs.

The Kitchen is large and very well equipped. There is a double electric cooker, combination Microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic dishwasher, washer/dryer and CD stereo.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The Master Bedroom is again beautifully decorated and furnished and has a four poster bed. There is also a pretty window seat which gives you views over the village. The second bedroom is the Twin Room. This room has two single pine beds and its own pedestal wash basin. Again there are views over Crantock village. All beds will be made up for your arrival.

There is a separate WC with pedestal wash basin and the bathroom has been cleverly designed to incorporate corner bath and fitted shower.

Monks Cottage does not have a garden but the owners who have two small children find that the closeness of the amenities means that this is never an issue. Parking is available outside the cottage outside of peak season, and there are public car parking spaces directly across from the cottage during peak season.
